Issues nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7 had four extra pages giving PLUG a total of 24. They were all Plug (the character) related and comprised the four centre pages (page nos. 11-14). Pages 12 and 13 were in colour.

In issue nos. 4, 5 and 6 they comprised the three parts of a 'Supergoon Sportrait' poster. In issue no. 7 the centre spead was entitled 'Plugs & Co.' (a spoof of 'Legs & Co.' - a female dance combo that appeared on 'Top Of The Pops' 1976-81).

The obverse of these pages were four black and white comic features :-
'Plug's Guide to Physical Health and Beauty' (issue no. 4),
'This is Your Life' (no. 5),
'Plug's Grinners Book of Records' (no. 6), and
'Plug's Record Break' (no. 7).

1978 was a World Cup year and in issue no. 28, on the bottom right-hand corner of the right-hand Antchester United page, was the first World Cup badge (Tunisia) to be collected, i.e. cut out. A World Cup Wall Chart would be printed "later" to stick the badges on. Another seven badges (Austria, Scotland, Holland, France, West Germany, Italy and Mexico ) appeared before the World Cup Wall Chart graced the centre-pages of issue no. 36, ousting the Antchester United strip that week. There were ten spaces for the badges - two more badges (Argentina and Iran) appeared in the following two weeks. Six countries were not represented - Brazil, Hungary, Peru, Poland, Spain and Sweden.

Many thanks to r3tr0_gam3r of comicsuk.co.uk for supplying scans of missing badges.
